Art Therapy

Active art-making can help enrich the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Through these fun and engaging processes, more opportunities are created to help encourage communication; while also assisting the individual to improve excellent motor skills and sensory processing issues. Actively engaging your child in art-making activities for 15-20 minutes, at least two times per week will help your child build and improve their communication, turn to take, and joint attention skills. Art therapy is the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness as well as achieve insight.
